ARMENIA

Armenia is a mountainous country located between Europe and Asia in the region known as South Caucasus. Armenians were the first nation in the world to formally adopt Christianity in the year of 301 AD.

Early Armenian kingdom was already established in 859 BC and was called Kingdom of Urartu, and now Armenia is an independent Republic with president as the head of state.

Armenia has rich historical and cultural heritage, and is proud to be the homeland of such amazing and talented artists like great composer Aram Khachatryan, incredible chanson Charles Aznavour, marvelous painters Martiros Saryan and Hovhannes Ayazovsky and many others.

The capital city Yerevan is a wonderful place for touring: it has the spirit of the ancient capital, and at the same time one can admire the modern architecture of the city. The city centre is usually very crowded, and especially in the evenings most of the citizens and capital’s guests go out - be it for drinking coffee, tasting delicious Armenian cuisine, enjoying their time in clubs or simply for strolling purposes.
