The MA Programme in Human Rights and Democratization in the Caucasus starts its admission for year 2018-2019. 

The Regional Master's Programme in Human Rights and Democratization the Caucasus is established with the financial support of the European Union.  We are a part of huge network of Global Campus for Master’s Programmes and Diplomas in Human rights and democratisation which includes more than 100 universities around the world. Our programme is implemented in close cooperation with the European Inter-University Center (Venice), and in partnership with leading universities of Armenia, Ukraine, Belarus, and Georgia


The MA Programme in the Caucasus is an interdisciplinary programme (with legal, political and multidisciplinary components), with duration of 1 year (60 ECTS). It is implemented by a consirtium of four leading universities in the region: Yerevan State University (coordinator), Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv (host university), Belarusian State University (host university), and Tbilisi State University (host university). The official languages of the Programme are English and Russian.


Who is eligible?

The Programme is open to all interested applicants who meet the following criteria:


  • Have a Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent qualification from a recognized higher education institution. In case if applicant has not yet received diploma, they should provide documentation stating indicative date for receiving degree/ diploma from the institution and transcipt of grades
  • Equally fluent in English and Russian.
  • Have Professional and/or research interest in human rights and democratization issues.


Please note, that applicants with academic and/or professional experience in abovementioned fields will have advantage.
